How You Can Help

St. Vincents volunteers provide assistance in throughout the medical center. Some of the more visible roles are:

Directing guests from the lobby information desk
Waiting rooms
Emergency Department
Gift shop
Flower delivery to patients
Shuttle service


What are the requirements for becoming a St. Vincents Volunteer?

The volunteer process includes:

Application
References
Background check
TB screening
Short orientation
A 15 charge is required to cover the cost of the law enforcement check.



What do you expect from your volunteers?

Your service and dedication to helping others is important to us. When you choose to be a volunteer, we ask you to:

Give at least three hours a week;
Be dependable and honor your commitments to patients and staff;
Be discreet with respect to confidential matters.


What are the age requirements for volunteering or joining the Auxiliary?

All volunteers must be 18 years or older with the exception of the Teenage Volunteer Program. The ages for teens are 14 to 17.
